Odds and Ends

Have you ever caught yourself saying:
Did I just see what I thought I saw?
    Did you see that?
Turn around. I want to take another look.
My eyes must be playing tricks on me.

Or something similar?

As you drive through this great country you can’t help but notice those little treasures that make Americans unique…or…well…odd. Yes, we are an eclectic bunch. And since we are allowed the freedom of expression you never know what “expressions” you will see around the next bend. Here are a couple of examples:

World’s largest wind chime.
Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Take Hwy 23 south from Eureka
Springs and watch for this oddity
on the right side of the road. You
can ring this one or purchase one
for your own backyard.

Spaceship House in Florida

Driving along the FloridaGulfCoast on Hwy 98, we suddenly noticed that the Martians had landed on top of this house.

If you look closely, you will see one of the aliens peeking out the porthole on the right side of the photo.

I don’t know the fate of the occupants of the house, but we considered ourselves lucky to get away before being abducted.
