Darian Lendermon keeps inching closer to the number one female power lifter in the state. This week in Coahoma, Lendermon added another 75 pounds to her total. Her 735 pound total moved her up to number three in the region and the state and she is only 50 pounds back from the number one spot. Her 155 pound bench press broke the girls’ record at Coahoma, a record held by four time state champion Andrea Cazares of Seagraves.

The tournament in Coahoma makes two in a row Lendermon has gone up against the number one girl in the state and finished second in the meet.

Meanhile, Ramiro Reyes broke all four records at the Coahoma meet (bench, squat, dead lift and total lift). The number one lifter in the state is a good 150 pounds ahead of any of his competition.

Hardy Berber (915), Jacob Ludwig (795), Jesse Garza (1140) and Thomas Rivera (830) each achieved personal best in totals.

Fabian Guiterrez was scratched due to an injury, but he has qualified for the Regional meet and hopes to be able to compete at that time.
Lendermon will compete at the Girl Regional meet in Monahans March 3, while Reyes and company will be at the Boys Regional meet in Sundown March 10.
