Car show revs up for toy drive
A car show fundraiser to assist the Kiwaniannes with their annual Christmas toy drive will be held December 3 from 12 noon until 5 p.m.
The entry fee is $20 cash or a $20 toy donation.
The Kiwaniannes and CC Riders are teaming up together to host the car show which will help Kiwaniannes raise toys and funds for underprivileged families.
The winners will be determined by spectator vote. One dollar equals one vote and entitles the voter to a free hotdog.
The Kiwaniannes will be set up in the alleyway beside the Palace Theater for the spectator voting.
Last year the car show raised $1,350 in cash, along with half a pickup load of toys. The CC Riders Car Club donated 19 bicycles to Toys4MCKids.
The first and second place winners will be announced at 5 p.m., just in time for all the cars to line up for the evening’s Christmas Light Parade.
“Everyone is invited to come on downtown and enjoy the car show and help raise money for the Toys4MCKids toy drive,” Kiwanianne Jan Lemons said.
