Something eerie this way comes, as Main Street and the Community Development Department host the Baker Haunted Hotel, October 28th, 29th, and 31st.

From giant spiders swarming the sides of the building to a Youtube video, Main Street continues to find new ways to utilize the Baker.
“We had a whole bunch of kids come down and do a flash mob on site,” Amie Wood, community development director said.

The resulting video can be found on Main Street’s Facebook page or on Youtube. Just use the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxqbTtaH3OQ

The shiver fest begins at 9 p.m. following the annual Trick or Treat Around Town and Kelley Elementary’s Fall Festival.

Tickets are $5 each with plenty of discounts and package deals in conjunction with the 3M Palace Theater.

“The theater will be showing scary movies and the concession stand will have traditional fare such as popcorn balls and caramel apples,” Wood said. “It’s a cheap date night with fun for everyone.”

A block party will also be held during the evening hours of October 28, 29 and 31.

The street in front of the 3M Palace and Baker will be blocked off with lots of activities during the haunted hotel hours of 9 – 11 p.m.

Businesses who would like to be included on the Trick or Treat Around Town list need to sign up at the Chamber of Commerce.

For more information about the haunted hotel or other activities, please contact the Chamber of Commerce, 157 W. 2nd Street, 325-728-3403.
