CCPDto enforce animal registration ordinance
The Colorado City Police Department and Animal Control office will begin enforcing city ordinance 2.02.031 concerning registration of animals within city limits beginning April 1, 2010.
Registration and tagging of pets allows the animal control office to quickly and efficiently reunite lost pets and their owners. Forms are available at the CCPD, City Hall and the Mitchell County Veterinarian Clinic.
All loose, unregistered animals will be impounded at the Mitchell County Vet. Impoundment fees and registration will be required before the animal is released.
Registration will be $10 per animal and $8 per spayed and neutered animal.
