Ray Kincheloe
1933-2011
COLORADO CITY – Mr. Clarence “Ray” Kincheloe, age 78, went to meet his Lord on November 25, 2011, in Lubbock, after a two- year battle with cancer.

He was born February 16, 1933 to Bud and Edna Brown Kincheloe in San Saba County. He married Mary Lena Balzen on April 13, 1952 in Hamilton. She preceded him in death on September 28, 1999. They moved to Odessa, Texas in 1954 where he worked for B & B Constructors, 3-Way Constructors and retired from Phillips Petroleum. He then moved to Colorado City and started his own backhoe service. Ray and Mary were married for 48 years and were lifetime members of the Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a son, Glen Dale Kincheloe.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Nancy Kincheloe of Pittsburg, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mark Braddock of Lubbock; a brother, Dean Kincheloe of Comanche; six grandsons and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., November 29, 2011 at the 22nd & Austin Sts. Church of Christ in Colorado City. Burial was at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens on Odessa.

He always faced life’s trials with a smile and his loved ones will miss him dearly.
Pallbearers are is six grandsons: James Dunlap, Larry Dunlap, Jerry Dunlap, Tommy Kincheloe, David Kincheloe and Stephen Kincheloe.

Fermin Silva
1952-2011
COLORADO CITY – Mr. Fermin Silva, age 52, died Wednesday afternoon, November 23, 2011, in an Abilene hospital. Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial followed in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Silva was born May 18, 1952, in Loraine to Selestino and Antonia Peña Silva and had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell County. He married Alice Molina in 1979 in Colorado City. He was a retired oilfield employee. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and also enjoyed attending Primera Iglesia Bautista El Calvario.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Silva of Colorado City; two daughters, Katrina Lopez of Dallas and Jessica Silva of Colorado City; three sons, Joseph Molina, Ben Turnbow and Carlos Silva, all of Colorado City; three sisters, Juana Silva and Angelita Aguilar, both of Big Spring and Anita Fullwood of Midland; three brothers, Jesse Joe Silva of Colorado City, Ruben Silva of Roscoe and Luis Silva of Abilene; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Manuela Silva and Louisa Silva; and a nephew, Bobby Silva.

Lucia R. Gonzalez
1933-2011
COLORADO CITY – Lucia R. Gonzalez, 78, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Graveside services were held in the Westbrook Cemetery, under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home in Snyder.

Lucia was born in Floresville on March 3, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymundo Gonzalez; one son, Eusebio N. Gonzales; two sisters, Petra Arguijo and Andrea Frosto; and a brother, Manuel Robles.

Survivors include seven daughters, Francisca and her husband, Tony Salazar, Calistra Gonzalez, Theresa Chavarria, Martina Gonzalez, Mary Lou Gonzalez, Maria Gutierrez, all of Colorado City and Pauline Rosales of Sweetwater; two sons, Johnny and Paul Gonzalez, both of Colorado City; 52 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
